For teachers and youth workers involved in career guidance delivery.
COURSE OVERVIEW
The target group is teachers and youth workers involved in career guidance delivery in schools at both GET (subject choice) and FET level. The workshops are curriculum-based and outcomes are aligned to the curriculum outcomes for Life Orientation.
As part of the training, delegates will receive career information packs and self-exploration questionnaires required to deliver career guidance in the classroom.
Workshops are scheduled for groups of twenty or more teachers and are run on-site within the province or district near to them at a convenient venue.

Duration: 5 weeks
This programme requires 20 hours of self-study and 30 hours of practical. This includes a minimum of 16 hours (2 days) of online lectures (attendance of online lectures is compulsory).

CAREER INFORMATION OFFICER
1 YEAR
A full qualification requires theoretical training as well as practical experience and workplace experience for completion.
The Career Development Information Officer is a recognised occupation.
